 Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) today released the results of its Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS) in which the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 5.07 percent with an average 0.7 point for the week ending September 10, 2009, down from last week when it averaged 5.08 percent. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 5.93 percent

One of the nation’s top insurance-rating agencies has serious doubts that a longtime Florida-based insurer will be able to pay claims if more then one major hurricane hits the state this year. A.M. Best downgraded the financial strength of Tower Hill Insurance Group two levels, from fair to poor. Please check your homeowners insurance now and on a regular basis to ensure it is up to date and the company your with is solvent.
